We sadly announce the passing of Andrea I. Sharp, fondly known as Penny, who departed from us on June 29, 2024, in Great Falls, MT. Andrea was born on March 22, 1958, in Browning, MT, and spent her entire life in the community she loved.
Andrea, daughter of Willie H. Sharp and Leona Mary Fish Sharp, graduated from Browning High School in May 1978. She was a dedicated homemaker and cherished her role in raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Andrea's love for dancing, particularly old-style fancy dancing, led her to travel to powwows across the USA and Canada, where she had the honor of meeting Red Bone and even participated in the movie "War Party."
In addition to her love for powwows and dancing, Andrea enjoyed sewing, beading, singing, and visiting the casino. She found joy in taking rides and engaging in outdoor activities with her family. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her special friend Steven "Beaver" Frank; son Joesph "Anjo" Andre Scabbyrobe (Kelly) and daughter Sammy Jo Leona Scabbyrobe; sisters Willa Sharp-Nepoose (Andy), Lesley Leora Sharp-Bear Medicine; brothers Willie Andrew Sharp (Denise), Victor Dean Sharp; grandchildren Taelyn "Ladybug" (Josiah), Andre, Ashley, Koda; great-grandchild Aurora; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and family who will miss her dearly.
Andrea was preceded in death by her parents Willie H. Sharp and Leona Mary Fish Sharp "Tinsey," spouse Joesph "Joe Sam" Samuel Scabbyrobe Sr., sisters Gail Robin Sharp and Evalina "Ginger" Carlson, and great-grandchild Logan Henry Burke.
Penny's humor, kindness, and compassion will forever be remembered. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
