Galen Dale DayChief passed away May 26th, 2024, in Great Fall, MT, he was born on November 18, 1979, in Kalispell, Montana.
Galen's life is a testament to the enduring spirit of a man deeply rooted in the Heart Butte community of Montana. From his early days in Badger Creek to his achievements as a high school graduate and his valiant service as a wildland firefighter, Galen epitomized resilience and dedication. More than his professional life, he will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his profound loyalty to loved ones, and the joy he brought to others. His connection with Montana's natural beauty offered him peace, and now, as we remember him, his legacy continues to inspire and live on in the memories and hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Proceeding Galen in passing is his father, Giles DayChief; daughter Mateu DayChief; Charels and Hazel Weaselhead, and Ron and Jane DayChief.
Galen is survived by mother, Vera Weaselhead; sons, Giles DayChief, Jaylen DayChief, Josh Weaselhead of Spokane, WA; daughters, Victoria DayChief, Marissa Skunkcap, Kiley Skunkcap; sister, Marci DayChief of Alberta; brothers, Tim Weaselhead, Grinnell DayChief, Tyrell DayChief of Alberta, John DayChief of Alberta, Oroen DayChief of Alberta.
His services have concluded at this time, they took place as follows: Wake May 30th, 2024, Rosary May 31st, 2024, both occurred at The Brown Building in Heart Butte, MT. Funeral Service occurred on June 1st, 2024, at St. Anne's Parish followed by burial at St. Anne's Cemetery in Heart Butte, MT.
