WIlliam Whitford

William Larry Whitford passed away on January 7, 2024, in Browning, Montana. Larry Was born on October 18, 1939, to William (Bill) Alexander Whitford and Theda Rose Woodward. Larry Married Bette L. Fenner and to them three children were born Rose, Roy, and Rick Whitford. Larry knew the true meaning of hard work and sacrifice from an early age. Growing up then in the country one had to work and help with chores to keep the camp going, ride horseback to get to school which there were no set trails to get there but endured what was necessary to have an education. Larry said to often tell stories of when he was about fifteen years old and had to be out in the bitter cold and only a canvas tent for protection while there for calving because there was not anyone else to do the job. Growing up with three sisters and losing his own father when he was a young boy still growing up but was, tuff enough to strive and push his way through the pain of losing his father. Larry had a good life of traveling, working on a lot of jobs and his family. It does not feel real when one must except the loss of a great person, a teacher and someone who has always been there for his children, grandchildren, and others. Larry is survived by his three children Rose, Rick, and Roy. Three sisters Marie of Cut Bank, MT, Margie of Wichita, KS, and Loretta of Browning. Larry was blessed with eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Larry also thought a lot of his twelve nieces and nephews who grew up with their uncle Larry back in the day. Extended family member of Larry are Margrets children who were always around Larry on many occasions at the ranch and are: Liz Coburn and Lemual Billy, Dugan Coburn and Vicki Chapman, Janice Coburn and Bruce Running Crane, Karen and Stephen Grudier and Larry's partner in Life Margaret Kennerly Coburn whom he joins in Heaven. Larry's parents, Bill Whitford and Theda Woodward have proceeded Larry in heaven.

Services were held in Browning and burial was held on his ranch which he cherished most of all.
